Simon Tame

Simon is our lead ecologist supporting landowners and managers with expert plant surveying. He has had 25 years’ experience in the ecology, forestry and agri-environment sector after working as a forestry and agricultural contractor. This work has required a thorough understanding of most terrestrial habitats through survey, provision of detailed management advice, project management and working closely with land managers.

Simon has undertaken detailed habitat surveys using different techniques including Phase 1 Habitat Survey, National Vegetation Classification, Countryside Stewardship, Common Standards Monitoring and UKHab classification used for Biodiversity Net Gain. Surveys have been carried out across a variety of priority habitats, and potential areas for priority habitat restoration and creation. Surveys undertaken have informed agri-environment schemes,management plans, Site of Special Scientific (SSSI) condition assessments and Priority Habitat Inventory updates.
